After graduating his Marketing Degree, Paul began in the electrical industry in 1997 landing a role at a multi-national electrical manufacturer as the State Marketing Manager. Working there for 7 years and developing relationships with electrical contractors, builders, developers, and designers, he was a key player in the company’s first consumer awareness campaign. This evolved into end user solutions, culminating in software development for new home lighting and electrical design.

Identifying a gap in the market, Paul started an electrical consulting business working with market leaders within the building industry. His business was then contracted into overseeing a major Victorian builder’s electrical planning division, where he managed & consulted on over 10,000 electrical plans.

Paul then partnered with a significant electrical contractor and continued to develop his electrical planning & consulting expertise; he enhanced his industry knowledge further by including procurement & estimating to his role. Taking over the business management of this company he continued to gain a greater understanding of the building process, progressing him into custom selections for custom homes.

Finally, Paul branched out on his own again, starting IQ Lifestyle in 2020, where he now works with home owners on customising their electrical needs and wants, whilst guiding them through the practicality of their lighting and electrical layout design features that work best for them. He works hand in hand with the builders, architects, designers and electrical contractors involved in the build to make this electrical plan come to fruition.
